TSA installs stage rigging into existing venues Australia wide - new bars and hoists into your grid, complete fly-system and grid packages, and replacements for rigging that has aged out. The team that engineers the system is the team that installs it: load paths verified against the building steel before anything goes up, terminations certified, every hoist load-tested and handed over with the documentation your venue and insurer expect.

This is the single-system door: one rigging system - bars, hoists, a grid, a fly system - into a building that already works. When the job is the whole venue, a fit-out or refurbishment delivering every system at once, that is our venue engineering installation service.

The systems we design, install and commission run from pile-hoist lighting bars on multiple wire lines and grouped chain-hoist box-truss systems with a load cell per hoist, to dead-hung pipe grids on steel-wire droppers, skytrack, and studio and TV hoists. The hardware underneath is rated and traceable - girder clamps individually tested to 150% of their working load limit (WLL) with a test certificate and serial number, AS 4991 applied throughout.

How it runs

How the install runs.

One crew carries the job from survey to sign-off - the same delivery methodology we run on whole-venue projects, applied at single-system scale. Five steps, no handover gaps.

  1. Step 01

    Site survey & load-path check

    We walk the venue, measure what is really there, and trace every proposed point back to structure - what the steel can carry decides what the rig can do.

  2. Step 02

    Engineering & documentation

    In-house drafting turns the survey into an engineered system: drawings, load schedules and the compliance trail, with formal design review before anything is fabricated.

  3. Step 03

    Supply & fabrication

    Hoists, bars, clamps and terminations come from the stocked, rated range we stand behind - individually tested hardware with test certificates and serial numbers, fabricated under QA oversight.

  4. Step 04

    Install & certified terminations

    Our own crew installs to the drawings, with terminations made and verified to standard and the load path kept honest from batten to building steel.

  5. Step 05

    Load test & documented handover

    The system is load-tested, certified and handed over with as-installed documentation and per-asset certificates - filed to your asset register, ready for the first show and the next audit.

Before the install, rigging design & documentation carries the drawings and load calculations; after handover, hoist servicing and the Service & Inspection Programme keep the certificates current on a 12-month interval that protects your warranty cover. The hardware itself comes from the chain hoist and truss & structures ranges we stock - installed by the team that supplied it.

Yes - we install equipment you already own, once it passes verification. We check ratings, condition and compatibility with the load path before anything goes up, and every hoist we install is load-tested and certified regardless of who supplied it. If an item does not meet the standard the rig needs, we tell you before it is in the ceiling, not after.
TSA carries engineering verification and certification of the load-bearing elements as part of the install, and every electric chain hoist is load-tested and issued an individual certificate, valid for 12 months, signed by a Competent Inspection Officer. Where the building structure itself needs independent sign-off, we coordinate the structural engineer as part of the job. You end up with one documented compliance trail, not a folder of gaps.
It depends on the system - a new bar or a pair of hoists into an existing grid is measured in days; a complete fly-system or grid package is a planned program of weeks. The survey and engineering phase sets the schedule before work starts, so you get real dates, sequenced around your programming, rather than a guess. Most installs are staged around dark days and off-season windows.
No - the site survey and load-path check is the first step of the install, and our in-house drafting produces the engineering documentation the job needs. If you already hold a structural report, we work to it and fill the gaps; if you do not, we coordinate the consultant engagement ourselves. Either way, nothing is installed until the load path is verified.
An as-installed documentation pack: drawings, load schedules, load-test results and an individual certificate for every hoist, filed against persistent asset IDs in your asset register. It is the evidence trail your insurer, your auditor and your own due diligence rely on - and it keeps your warranty cover protected by showing the system was installed and tested to the maker's specification.
Rigging installation is the single-system service: one rigging system - bars, hoists, a grid, a fly system - installed into an existing building. Venue engineering installation is the whole-venue service: a fit-out or refurbishment delivering every stage system at once, from new-build PACs to full retrofits. Same team, same standards - the difference is the size of the door you walk through.
