01 - What We Do

Eight capabilities. One TSA.

Overhead rigging and stage systems being installed and commissioned in a venue, Australia wide
Venue Engineering & Installation

Fit-out to commission, one team.

Stage systems designed, installed, integrated and commissioned by one team that carries the whole technical environment - so you have one number to call, not five vendors to coordinate. From new-build performing arts centres to retrofit refurbishments. Engineered, documented, signed off.

How we deliver

One team carries
the whole environment.

Scenic, rigging, automation, drapes and electronics capability all sit within one organisation. So your staging environment is designed as one unified system - load paths, interfaces and structural requirements coordinated early, not discovered on site - rather than a set of isolated elements bolted together by separate vendors.

That is single-point accountability: one team, one number to call, one set of documentation, from new-build PACs to retrofit refurbishments. Interface risk drops, coordination with lighting, audio, video and building trades is carried for you, and the venue is left more maintainable after handover. See how an install comes together.

One team owns the middle. Design and integration take a brief to a coordinated system; the install turns it into a commissioned, signed-off staging environment - then operators are trained to competency on it.

02  /  Inside an install

Every discipline, under one party.

Coordinate a rigging contractor, an automation vendor, a scenic shop and a drapes supplier separately, and you own every gap between them. Carry it all in-house and those gaps close. Pick a discipline to see how it comes together under one team.

Early coordination

Resolved on paper, not on site.

Load paths, interfaces and structural requirements are coordinated up front, with in-house drafting and engineering behind every line. The clashes surface in design, where they are cheap to fix - not during bump-in, where they are not.

Rigging & automation

Brought under one control architecture.

Hoists, grids, track and box truss installed and commissioned together, then brought under one control system - multi-axis control, global E-stop and live load monitoring. The motion is designed as one rig, not assembled from separate vendors' parts.

Scenic & soft goods

Specified with the rigging, not after it.

Flats, set builds and scenic elements come out of our own workshop, engineered to the rigging and automation interfaces they hang from. Drape and curtain systems are detailed alongside them, so the masking, the tracks and the loads all agree before anything is cut or hung.

Trade coordination

The interfaces, owned by one party.

Coordination with lighting, audio, video and the building trades is carried for you, so the seams between scopes are owned by one team - not argued over on site when two contractors reach the same ceiling at the same time.

Electronics & control

Designed in, not bolted on after.

Control, data and power distribution are designed into the venue - through stage-engineering outlet boxes and the show-control system - rather than added on once the structure is up. The result is a venue that operates as one system from the first power-up.

Commissioning & sign-off

Handed over, documented and signed off.

In-house drafting, engineering verification and certification of the load-bearing elements run through to a documented commissioning and handover - the paper pack that survives the superintendent's sign-off and the building certifier.

Installation & commissioning

One team holds the design intent from the first capability audit through to a commissioned, signed-off venue - so the seams between rigging, automation, scenic, trades and control are owned by one party, not argued over by five. See how an install comes together.

Across the lifecycle

Where a venue install sits.

  1. Stage 01

    Identify

A capability audit reads what the venue can do today and what it needs to do more, before any work is committed.

  2. Stage 02

    Specify

Design and integration, with the in-house drafting and coordinated engineering that makes the systems work as one.

  3. Stage 03

    Deliver

The install. Supplied, installed, integrated and commissioned in-house, then handed over documented and signed off.

  4. Stage 04

    Maintain

Operators trained to competency on the system, with programmed compliance and service carried around the venue.

The install is the middle of the journey, not the end of it. Once the venue is in service, the ongoing relationship is carried by our Compliance & Service team - the Venue Systems Health Check and Service & Inspection Programme that keep it safe and documented year on year.

The bits people always ask.

If we missed yours, send it through. We'll get back to you.

It takes a venue from fit-out to commission as one team - covering venue fit-outs and refurbishments, system installation and commissioning, system integration, safety upgrades and capability audits. TSA designs, supplies, installs, integrates and commissions the staging environment, from new-build performing arts centres through to retrofit refurbishments, engineered, documented and signed off.

Rather than coordinating a scenic shop, a rigging contractor, an automation vendor and a drapes supplier separately - and owning every interface between them - TSA carries the whole technical environment under one party. One team, one number to call, one set of documentation, so interface risk is reduced through installation and commissioning.

Yes - the team delivers from new-build performing arts centres through to retrofit refurbishments and safety upgrades of existing spaces. A capability audit can scope what an existing venue needs before any work begins, and coordination with lighting, audio, video and building trades is carried as part of the install.

Permanent and long-run installs are designed with access, servicing and long-term maintainability built in from the concept stage. Operators are trained to competency on the specific system, and the ongoing relationship is carried by TSA's compliance and service offers - the Venue Systems Health Check and Service & Inspection Programme.
